Dear Friends and Supporters of Scarlet’s Mid-Winter Renaissance Festival,
Scarlet’s Mid-Winter Renaissance Festival began in 2004 as an idea to put on a show to entertain our guests and as a way for our fellow vendors and performers to get in out of the cold during the slow Festival months of winter to sell their goods and to perform to a crowd in an indoor setting. The Festival grew and enjoyed minor financial success the first few years, but it has always been the smiles, hugs and fun times had by all that enabled me to continue hosting the event even when my personal assessment of the Festival became year after year, that the show was a success, but financially…not so much.
Due to recent events, I have been forced to reevaluate my business and life plans and to assess my meager finances, both business and personal. The unfortunate conclusion of this evaluation is that I can no longer afford to host Scarlet’s Mid-Winter Renaissance Festival. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you all now that there will not be another Scarlet’s Mid-Winter Renaissance Festival.
To our past guests, thank you for coming to and enjoying our show.
To our vendors, thank you for bringing your wares to tantalize the pocketbooks of our guests and of the Festival’s pawticipants.
To our performers, thank you for being there, year after year, performing to and playing along with our guests and your fellow pawticipants. And thank you, also for being able to perform and play on the very limited budget I had available.
To our staff of volunteers I thank you for your hard work and support, physical, mental and emotional.
To all of you, thank you for coming to our shows and thank you for the support and kind words you have given, for without you, the show would never have happened and we would never have made many new friends and seen the bright smiles of our guests as they suspended belief in the mundane reality outside the walls of Scarlet’s Keep!
Scarlet, the mermaids and other performers of FoxMoon Productions will still be seen at those events where we are able to appear, so we hope to see you all soon!
Sincerely,
Robert Mullens, owner FoxMoon Productions |
