Press Release for Calendar of Events in your area:

Come vanquish the post holiday blues with Captain O'Hara the
Pirate King and Scarlet, the Fox Prince, as they host their annual Mid-Winter
Renaissance Festival. Scarlet's Mid-Winter Renaissance Festival is a
one-of-a-kind event featuring local and area Celtic, Renaissance and
Pirate music groups, mermaids, food, belly dancing, wine tasting,
pirates, shopping, lords and ladies in their finery, a wedding, an after
hours masked ball, costume contests, swashbuckling fun and even the 7' tall fox
named Scarlet. What makes Scarlet's Festival unique and
different from other renaissance festivals is that his Festival is held
indoors at the Oklahoma City Public Farmers Market Event Center during
the winter months rather than an outdoor event held in the fairer
weather months. Scarlet fully believes that, since the Renaissance
period lasted between 200-300 years and did not end each winter, why
should renaissance festivals vanish during the winter months?
Scarlet's Festival is a family oriented event with entertainment, games,
shows and shopping for all ages. The Festival takes place from 10 am -
6 pm on January 26th and 27th, 2008 with a masked ball from 9 pm till
midnight on Saturday the 27th. Festival admission is $9 for adults, $6
for children 5-12, military and seniors. Children under 5 are free.
Masked Ball tickets are $15.00 and weekend passes are $27.00. Weekend passes
include admission to both days of the Festival as well as admission to the
masked ball on Saturday night. Full Festival
information, including directions and information for vendors, is
available at www.scarletfest.com <http://www.scarletfest.com>.
For our return guests, rumors abound about the man they call Ruthless.
These rumors are spreading throughout the land; unbelievable rumors of a man
vile, despicable, ugly, smelly, vicious and just down right mean!
The details of the rumors of Ruthless are far too terrible to repeat!
Ruthless, a monster of a captain at the top of the wanted lists of
countless ports, has had all of our captains a little on edge and is
said to have even our Pirate King a bit uneasy. We have received
communications from the person calling himself Ruthless warning us that he is
coming to this year's festivities. In response, Captain O'Hara,
The Pirate King, has issued his own rewards for the capture of this
villain. Just who is this Ruthless that everyone fears? Why has he
chosen to appear here and now? Does he want the throne? Can he really
be as ugly as they say?
Captain Ruthless is Coming!!
All Pirates and Corsairs Beware! Captain Ruthless Approaches!
